The Very Hungry Caterpillar
HAROLD'S DAILY DIARY
Harold – our happy, healthy giraffe mascot and a favourite with children – will be posting a daily blog: Harold’s Daily Diary – starting next Monday, 23rd March at 9am! Each day he’ll be giving children positive, fun messages about what he’s doing to stay happy and healthy while he’s off school, separated from his friends. He’ll invite the children to join in activities which will be family-friendly, varied and tailored to all ages, follow his Daily Plan and download and fill in their own version.
We are doing this because we know that having a routine and structure are key to providing children with security at this challenging time. Topics will include:
- Taking regular exercise
- Being creative
- Helping others
- Connecting with others – in ways that are safe
Mindfulness – learning to enjoy the moment, here and now
HILLINGDON LIBRARY CARD - On line books
Any child with a Hillingdon library card can use this for free. There are online books with comprehension questions for all ages. All they need is the bar code on their cards.
FREE STREAMING OF THEATRE SHOWS & PLAYS
Frithwood is going to trial run a twitter account to try and share as much of the children's work with the school community as possible. We would like to see your art work for Miss Bedenham; videos of science experiments; pictures of crafts or designs the children have made; videos or audios of your children reading favourite books or their own stories; videos or pictures of PE workouts (the Joe Wicks one seems very popular) and/or anything else you think would be nice to share with other parents and children. I'm sure parents would love to see what ideas other households have come up with to keep the children busy and entertained.
In order to share the children's work follow the twitter account @FWPS20201
Once your' follow' is approved you can pass on the work and it can then be shared with the whole school community.
ONLY APPROVED FOLLOWERS WILL BE ABLE TO SEE ANY CONTENT YOU WANT TO SHARE
